Your Synology NAS should be listed, as you can see in the screenshot below. Click on Universal Plug’n’Play from the Local Network section as marked in the screenshot below. I’m also still working on a fitness app for the Xbox One possibly with Kinect support with a good friend, but we’re still in an early stage and have to tackle some problems, but we’re slowly progressing. To access the media content from your Synology NAS via DLNA/UPnP with VLC Media Player, open the VLC Media Player and click on View > Playlist as shown in the screenshot below. The platform is getting better and better in my opinion and I even have already expanded my Xbox Live Gold membership until late 2018 now. I really have to say that the Xbox One family has brought back my desire for console gaming in the last months. I already took half a day off on this day, so I can connect, test and play for the rest of the day after picking it up. I pre-ordered the Xbox One X through the German electronics discounter Saturn and will be able to pick it up on the 7th of November 2017.
XBOX ONE X DLNA SYNLOGOY TV
Up to now I can fully recommend the TV after testing it for over a month now. For example the local dimming is deactivated for some reason. It responds fastly the picture quality is absolutely great, after you did some tweaking. The DLNA client can easily connect to my Synology DiscStatonand stream all the movies I’ve stored there. The upscaler does a good job displaying FullHD and above resolutions, but upscaling SD content doesn’t look that great. The TV has four HDMI2.0 ( HDCP 2.2) input sockets and a HEVC decoder. The display delivers 350nits of luminance and supports local dimming. I also just got the TCL U58S7806S UHD TV with 4K resolution, but without HDR, because I had a look at it and with the “ Wide Color Gamut” technology and a display that covers 130% of the sRGB color space, the difference I was able to spot between this TV and the much more expensive models with HDR was just not worth the extra money for me.
